A glittering oasis in the midst of the Nevada desert, Las Vegas is synonymous with entertainment. It’s bold, it’s brash, and thanks to the bright lights and high standard of hotels, it’s beautiful too.

Hotels in Las Vegas cater to all sorts of holidaymakers. Many of the luxury hotels in Las Vegas are known the world over and some are very large indeed, even boasting their own casinos as well as a range of restaurants and other facilities. Cheap hotels in Las Vegas, meanwhile, are a great option for those on a budget, who want to experience all the glitz and glamour of this unique destination without breaking the bank.

From a huge copy of an Egyptian pyramid or the Eiffel Tower to a New York themed hotel or a replica of Venice, complete with its twisting, narrow streets, hotels in this exciting city are like giant playgrounds for grown-ups.

Whatever your age, if you love food then Las Vegas has plenty to offer. The city has a reputation for super sizing everything and that comes into its own where food is concerned. Bigger is better here, but there are also some very refined dining options in this dazzling city.

Las Vegas is a shopper’s paradise, with some of the biggest shops in the world located in and around the Strip. As for entertainment, not many places on the planet can compete with the world class array of musical and cabaret acts on offer in this destination. If shows aren’t really your thing, the city has plenty of other nightlife options on offer too.

Las Vegas is of course well known for weddings, so you can expect to catch a glimpse of a couple dashing into a chapel, ready to be wed by an Elvis impersonator or of an entire bridal party gambling in a casino.

Beyond the bright lights of the Strip, you can venture from Las Vegas into the Nevada desert. The Grand Canyon is a magnificent natural sight and is reachable by car in around two-and-a-half hours. The Skywalk bridge over the canyon offers visitors a unique perspective on this majestic wonder.

Alternatively, the Hoover Dam is only an hour’s drive from Las Vegas. This immense structure towers more than 200 metres over the Colorado river, so in terms of scale it can certainly rival the canyon.
